Individual Sessions - Psychomotor Therapy

Individual sessions aim to support children from 2 to 10 years old who present emotional, relational, behavioral or motor challenges.

Psychomotor therapy works through the BODY:

  1. The body expresses: Emotions are communicated through the body. The psychomotrician notices.

  2. The body receives: The body becomes the access to the emotional and behavioral world of the child. Through physical experiences and interventions, the psychomotrician helps the child overcome developmental difficulties.

The uniqueness of each individual is honored and individual goals are set for each child.  We acknowledge the challenges and most importantly the strengths of every children. We believe that the best way to navigate difficulties is by recognizing first the possibilities of the child, strengthening their potential and accompanying them to build the tools needed to face challenges.

Group Sessions - Psychomotor Therapy

Group sessions are designed to support children, from 2 to 10 years old, who present challenges in relating with peers.

Over the course of multiple sessions, the psychomotrician accompanies and supports the child through her/his journey of growth and developing social skills.

This process begins with individual sessions. The psychomotrician builds a trustful relationship with the child and assesses their unique possibilities and needs. As the child is ready, the psychomotrician will assign him/her to a small group or a duo, mutually beneficial and complimentary for all participants.

In this safe, supported and focused environment the child builds awareness, confidence, empathy and communication skills to then naturally assimilate what they learn into their daily lives at home and in school.
